The university does not have its own sports programme. The offerings of the Bremen University Sports Association are open to all students and staff of the Bremen universities as well as external participants. Fitness, gym, water sports, dancing or meditation - there is something for everyone! Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. The "Straak zu Bremen” Waterbike team, a student interest group of shipbuilding and marine engineering students at Bremen University of Applied Sciences, develops high-tech pedal boats made of high-quality materials and components. The team competes in international competitions. The triathlon team at Bremen University of Applied Sciences, the HSB Tri-Runners, takes part in running and triathlon competitions throughout Germany. The joint rowing team of the Bremen University of Applied Sciences (HSB) and the University of Bremen competes in national competitions spanning all performance classes.
