Special features regarding the library

Locations: FBH, the specialist library of Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences (HKA), is a branch of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) library. You can also use the KIT library as well as the specialised library for Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) Karlsruhe (FBD). https://www.bibliothek.kit.edu; Stock: The partnership enables access to a wide stock in printed and electronic format: Over approx. 2 million books & e-books as well as university publications; Approx. 140,000 journals.; Services: The library (building A - 1st floor) is open from 8 am to 4 pm (Mon-Fri), the WEST & EAST learning rooms from 8 am to 10 pm (Mon-Fri). The service hours are also from 8am to 4pm (Mon-Fri). The library offers over 250 networked individual workspaces as well as 2 group work rooms and 1 seminar room. Library tours are held at the beginning and during a semester. Seminars on literature research and the Zotero reference management programmes are also held at regular intervals every semester. Individual advice is also part of the library service.

There is a foreign language centre. Languages offered: English, French, German as a Foreign Language, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Korean.

Special features regarding university sports

The university does not have its own sports programme. All students of Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences can use the sports facilities of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Participation is subject to fees.
