Locations: A library location on the Burren campus. Opening hours: Mon-Fri 8 am - 8 pm; Sat 9 am-4 pm.; Stock: Print and online media on Technology, Computer Science, Optics and Ophthalmics, Chemistry, Economics and Healthcare: Around 41,000 printed works; 500,000 e-books; 74,000 e-journals; 75 databases.; Services: Devices such as laptops, cables or adapters are available on loan in the library. New technology is selected with the students – so we always have what you truly need. Whether you're on the go or working from home, our online media and services are available 24/7. You will find various study areas on site – quiet places in which to concentrate as well as zones where you can work together. Here you will also receive assistance with topics related to literature searches and literature management or academic work. We are happy to be of assistance!

Foreign language center and courses

There is a foreign language centre. Languages offered: English, French, German as a Foreign Language, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Swedish, Russian, Chinese, Turkish. Some foreign languages can be taken in cooperation with Aalen Adult Education Centre (VHS) (without exam) and are financially supported. We offer languages online with other universities (exam possible).

Special features regarding university sports

The university itself does not have a university sports programme. Hochschule Aalen works with the student government association (Verfasste Studierendenschaft) to offer a varied sports programme for all students of Hochschule Aalen. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. Registration for the university sports programme is held every semester during the first week of lectures. The university sports programme begins every semester in the third week of lectures. Every summer there is also a university sports festival for students and staff.
