Bachelor's and Master's degree course can be studied in overlap; all Bachelor’s graduates of the department are given a place in the corresponding EIT programme towards the Master´s degree programme; Non-technical module "Introduction to working in engineering" teaches the basics of project and self-management and presentation and writing skills; “Conveniently located”: ‘open-door’ philosophy for all lecturers; close and fruitful cooperation with the departmental student body, short distances as a demonstration of the TUK motto: ‘Students as partners’

Special features regarding the international orientation

‘European Master’s degree in Embedded Computing Systems’ (EMECS): Joint degree with three partner universities; international Master´s degree programmes ‘Embedded Computing Systems’ (ESY) and ‘Automation & Control’ (A&C) in English; 22 partner universities in the Erasmus programme, degree theses and internships abroad possible; study possible with Universität der Großregion (Metz, Nancy, Liege, Luxembourg); around 50% of the students in the department are from abroad; around 30 countries are represented in the department; central supervision of international students by the ISGS
