Special features regarding teaching

In core course 2, students learn the principles of the specialisations "Structural Engineering", "Construction Site Management", "Transport" and "Water and Waste Management". They only choose a discipline afterwards. The 4 specialisations are also offered in the Master's degree course. As far as we know, this is unique in Germany.

Special features regarding the international orientation

Double degree with the Namibia University of Science and Technology. Possible for Master's degree graduates to do a doctorate in Namibia. Cooperation agreement with the Ningbo University to exchange teachers and students. Double degree planned.

Special features regarding the equipment

Laboratories with excellent machines (testing machines) for steel construction, building materials laboratory, laboratory for bituminous material; Laboratory for Geo-Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering and Laboratory for Water and Waste Management. A joinery machine has been acquired for students in the "Wood Engineering" degree course. Wood construction projects are realised here starting with planning through to large-scale completion. There are sufficient computer workstations.

Special features regarding research and development

Very good links to and cooperation in the "Euregio" in research projects related to "Mobility"; More and more industrial projects are carried out due to the excellent testing devices
