Intensive supervision in small groups, project-oriented study in interdisciplinary modules; Internationally renowned variety of subjects: cultural and historical fundamentals, design and representation, construction, building planning, urban planning and landscape architecture; Students first develop their own profile in the third year of studies, with university-wide elective courses and a one-semester mobility window; Regular awards for student projects/theses

Special features regarding teaching in the master's programmes

Intensive supervision, project-oriented studies with many options to develop an individual profile, and close ties to professional practice and research; Research topics integrated into teaching, especially in projects and research fields, including German/international self-build projects in architecture; Interdisciplinary topics and summer schools of other universities in the transit module; One-semester mobility window; Practice-oriented national focus in the Master's degree in Architecture or Urban Planning, research-oriented international focus in the Master's degree in Transforming City Regions (TCR); Regular student awards

Participation of various teaching units in RWTH Aachen profile areas: Built and Lived Environment (including supervision by chair); Production Engineering; Materials Science and Engineering; Energy, Chemical & Process Engineering, collaborative research by chairs in the fields of Cultural Heritage, Making of Housing, REVIERa transformation platform, interdisciplinary collaboration with partners from research, industry, possibly politics in the Centre Construction Robotics (supervision by teaching unit), Centre for Circular Economy, BIM Centre Aachen, supervision by/participation of chairs in two Research Training Groups
