Special features regarding teaching in the bachelor's degree programme

The degree courses consist of lectures, exercises relating to the lectures (including tutorials), practicals and excursions. The practicals are carried out in the university's own laboratories or in the laboratories of external companies. Special degree course in Medical Engineering ─ Technologies and Development Processes. In the fifth and sixth semesters, the degree course branches into three areas of specialisation. Elective subjects can be chosen from the entire range of subjects offered by the university, while compulsory elective subjects can be chosen from subject-specific catalogues.

Special features regarding teaching in the master's programmes

Master's in Regulatory Affairs: Course contents: Acquisition of knowledge on the approval of medical devices (in Europe and in relevant regions worldwide). The degree course comprises three semesters (including thesis) and takes place partly online and partly in person. The degree course can be extended, the necessary modules are coordinated so that the degree course can be career-integrated. The degree course is subject to fees.

Special features regarding the equipment

Computer clusters with approx. 80 workstations, including for CAD training and computer science practicals; Extensive materials science laboratory; 3D laboratory (scanning, reverse engineering and printing of components); Electrical engineering laboratory; Digital electronics and microprocessor engineering laboratory; Physics laboratory; Measurement and control engineering laboratory as well as industrial laboratories at companies of the friends' association

Some of the research activities are initiated and coordinated by the Innovation and Research Centre on the Tuttlingen campus.
