Special features regarding teaching

A special feature is on the one hand the targeted orientation of the (economic) psychological content on the practice - for example, diagnostics in particular convey the diagnostic procedures in an economic context (including test procedures for identifying professional suitability, multi-modal interview or assessment centre). In addition, in the most important basic and application subjects, the course content is developed and implemented using a practical example. The professional experience of the teachers is used to a particular extent here.

Special features regarding the international orientation

The growing importance of international exchange and the consideration of intercultural skills are underlined by the explicit offer of corresponding courses in the respective curricula of the individual degree courses. In addition, there are mandatory stays abroad in most courses. Our university has an international focus, both in terms of teaching staff and the student body.

Special features regarding the equipment

Lecture theatres equipped with modern technology and all the customary presentation media, as well as campus WiFi, personal skills trainings room with moderation and video equipment, TV studio, radio studio, PC clusters, access to online data bases. Diverse media use, both in terms of the technical use as well as its effect and areas of application within the lectures, enable the students to deal competently as part of the training.

Special features regarding research activities

Lecturers in the field of (Business) Psychology involve students in their research activities in the students’ Bachelor's and Master's theses. Among other things, digitalisation and its effects on business psychology fields of work.

Support for founders

Training entrepreneurial thinking people is part of our university's mission. Students keen to start a business are supported by personal coaching and can initially use facilities on campus. The university offers the opportunity to gain initial experience in student initiatives.

Other special features

Corporate Social Responsibility is an important educational task for the university. This includes not only an offer of subjects focusing on CSR and sustainability, but also the opportunity to get involved in various departments in the CSR area (BiTS2Society, BiTSVision). The content learned in the lectures is implemented not only in internships but also in student departments and enables sustainable learning.
