Specialisation options during the extension studies in the areas of Market and Advertising Psychology, Occupational and Organisational Psychology, HR Psychology, Leadership Psychology and Change Management allow students to set specific focal points for after they have completed their studies and intend to either enter into industry or continue their academic education. Interdisciplinary approach, intensive forms of teaching knowledge and skills, individual specialisation in graded courses through coursework or presentations, use of virtual learning and working environments.

Special features regarding research activities

One focus area is diversity research (especially research on the gifted and gender equality, including gender-appropriate language) as well as on the professionalization of staff selection in the academic context. A second focus area is sustainability transformation in the field of digitalisation and mobility in cooperation with industry partners, i.e. what are the conditions and hurdles for a change towards ecologically and socially sustainable mobility. The focus is on psychological and social prerequisites for integrating innovations (e.g. digital-based mobility services) into everyday life.

"G-Inno" as its own innovation and start-up centre, ZUG start-up initiative, professorship "Entrepreneurship", Contact-AS start-up initiative (advice, coaching, information, qualification), modules for business start-up and succession, business plan, lectures and workshops, module "Startup Lessons" for the acquisition of entrepreneurial skills. Series of events "Students meet start-ups". Forum for Commercial Law and Forum for Career Entry (WiJuS e.V.), Future forum, in the past 10 years there have been around 210 start-ups.
