Special features regarding teaching in the bachelor's degree programme

Medical Technology is highly interdisciplinary. It combines natural sciences, electrical engineering, computer science and medicine to form the subject for medical technology. The curriculum is structured in such a way that graduates have every opportunity in their professional lives, from advance development, product management and quality control to marketing and field work. In the sixth semester, students choose an area of specialisation in "Medical Informatics" or "Biosignal Processing". In addition, the research areas of cardio, neuro and materials sciences are emphasised.

Special features regarding teaching in the master's programmes

In the Master's degree programme in Medical Technology at Offenburg University of Applied Sciences, students have the opportunity to choose areas of specialisation in line with their personal preferences. Currently, the specialisations "Implant Technology", "Applied Neuroscience", "Image Processing and Machine Vision" and "Applied Neuroacoustics" are offered.
