Special features regarding teaching

Psychology at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt offers intensive supervision and close contact between students and teaching staff. Individual flexibility of the degree course is guaranteed through the wide range of options; Non-psychological modules from other degree courses can be flexibly integrated.

Special features regarding the international orientation

Students have the opportunity to study abroad for one semester. The recognition of the academic achievements gained there can be specified in advance via a learning agreement.

Special features regarding the equipment

The Psychology department is equipped with various laboratory facilities for EEG, behavioural measurement, eye-tracking and virtual reality. The department also as a psychotherapy outpatient clinic, which is located in Ingolstadt. Students and staff have access to a wide range of psychological tests via the test archive.

Special features regarding research activities

The Psychology department is involved in the MenschInBewegung project as part of the BMBF programme Innovative University. Together with TH Ingolstadt, joint transfer projects are developed and implemented here. The psychotherapy university outpatient clinic carries our research projects on persistent grief disorder and PTSD in unaccompanied underage refugees. Furthermore, there are cooperations between the Chair of Developmental and Educational Psychology and the Caritas Center St. Vincent in Ingolstadt.

Other special features

Another special feature is the degree in School Psychology, which enables students to gain the B. Sc. in Psychology following a combined teacher training and psychology degree.
