Ongoing research projects at the Institute for Education and Health Services Research at Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences aim to address the challenges posed by socio-demographic and epidemiological change in the health care sector. Prevention of the need for long-term care, technology-supported nursing and care as well as the user-oriented design of the different areas of nursing care in turn have an impact on the requirements for vocational training and educational research and thus on academisation in the health care professions.
