Special features regarding teaching

Case studies, business games, small group work, group discussions and other modern teaching concepts are integrated by lecturers into these course concepts. In this way, activating parts, i.e. working on case studies or exercises or working out solutions for specific problems and projects, are integrated into the courses.

Since its founding in 1978, TUHH has pursued future-oriented approaches in research, teaching and technology transfer. TUHH is a campus university where everything is close together enabling fast access to facilities. It has a modern, well-equipped computer centre, an up-to-date library and a whole series of learning spaces which are only available to students. Some of the courses are project based.

Other special features

IIW freshmen are required to complete a 10-week work-related internship, while it is not mandatory for CS freshmen. In CS a software internship of 6 weeks (6 ECTS) is required, which can be combined with the bachelor thesis. A limited number of dual study places are available for the CS and IIW courses.
