Special features regarding the equipment

Around 60 workstations (file server plus multiprocessor systems) are available in the department for use in project and dissertation work in both courses of study. There is also a large number of WiFi workstations for notebooks, plus high-performance graphics computers for 3D applications. Standard off-the-shelf mini robots available for applications and programming in the field of Mobile Autonomous Robotics.

Special features regarding research activities

Project for the development of scientific-economic excellence for the ITeG research centre. A "communication paradigm" is being researched and formulated: binding rules which enable work-life balance in the Internet age.

Support for founders

Contact person at the Department of Computer Science for students or research assistants interested in founding a company for the Unikat-Agentur or the ideas competition. Initial consultation for start-up ideas and referral to the UniKasselTransfer Incubator.
