Individual study models, "mobility windows" in the Bachelor's degree courses in Biology and Biochemistry to facilitate the realisation and recognition of stays abroad.

Special features regarding the international orientation

English-language Master's degree course in Biology; Propedeutic for foreign first-year students; Erasmus Strategic Partnership EduSapMan + IntASEK, mobility window in Bachelor's degree courses.

Special features regarding research activities

The Department of Biology with its research focus on "Adaptation of Biological Systems" with the sub-areas "EcoHealth", "Unicellular Systems" and "Molecular Health" find their way into advanced modules of our course offerings. Graduates of our courses are thus prepared for global challenges, for example in connection with the consequences of climate change or in the health sector.

Other special features

Close proximity to the Medical Faculty in terms of space and content on one campus; close connection to "Bio-Regio Ulm" and the biopharmaceutical industry in the region; cooperation with Biberach University of Applied Sciences.
