Special features regarding teaching

The degree courses of the faculty are divided into three phases. In the basic modules of the first two semesters, the fundamentals covering the entire range of biology are taught theoretically and in laboratory and outdoor practicals for all degree courses. In the following profile phase, there are numerous options that students link early on to current research topics. In the final phase, the students pursue their own research in intensively supervised projects. In the Master's courses, the path to independent scientific work is vigorously paved.

Special features regarding the international orientation

The faculty supports stays abroad for students. There are many support and guidance options available. The work groups are part of strong international academic networks.
