Profiling through the focal points: Molecular Mechanisms of Ageing and Age-Associated Diseases (Stem Cell Ageing, Signal Transduction Pathways, Apoptosis, Haematology/Oncology, Translational Peptide research, Rare Neurodegenerative Diseases, Cardiometablic Disorders); transdisciplinary trauma research (physical trauma, mental trauma). These focal areas are supported by more than 35 national and international research associations. Structural highlights include 3 collaborative research centres, the public-private research association BIU and the Comprehensive Cancer Centre.

Other special features

In perspective (2021) opening of the Ulm Training Hospital To Train U - TTU, which will house the largest lecture hall on campus and the medical dean's office in the future, in addition to the training hospital for students of medicine and molecular biosciences; Master Molecular Medicine: two double-degrees and specialisation in oncology.
