Support for founders

One of the strategic goals of the Furtwangen University is to support student business start-ups. The Faculty of Industrial Engineering is an essential support and driver in doing so. The contact person at the HFU location in Furtwangen is WING Professor Dr. Bernhard Plum. The offer for students includes information events, workshops, advice, lectures and support for start-ups.

Other special features

Robert-Schäflein-Armbruster, WING professor and Vice Rector for Teaching at HFU, is responsible for the HFU programme for top athletes as Rectorate Officer: Around 20 members of national teams study at the HFU, about half of them at the WING faculty. The flexible study conditions for top athletes are anchored in the study and examination regulations. The cooperation partner is the Olympic base Freiburg-Black Forest. Students and alumni include Olympic champions, world champions and numerous national champions.
