Special features regarding the equipment

Teaching takes place in renovated buildings with the latest media technology as well as state-of-the-art and very extensive laboratory technology. Research can be conducted in one of the most modern libraries in Germany with e-media, WiFi and extensive access to national and international data bases. Academic studies are organised on the computerised university information system, i.e. examination notifications, news, etc. can all be accessed over the Intranet. WiFi across the entire campus; The university campus covers an area of 44 ha with several green areas that are perfect for relaxing and playing sport.

Special features regarding research and development

The faculty of INW is characterised by intensive research activities and a high level of third-party funding. Several doctoral theses are currently being completed through cooperative doctorates. The university has numerous affiliated institutes, such as "Fluid and Pumping Technology" and the "Institute for Polymer Research". There are also competence centres, such as the "Polymer Competence Centre (KKZ) Merseburg Halle", where development and research is carried out.
