Very good equipment with sufficient space for laboratories and computer exercises; excellently equipped library with online full-text access to scientific databases; copter laboratory with several Quadro and Hexa copters with completely self-developed Linux-based software; software-defined radio laboratory with software for GSM and LTE systems plus corresponding measurement technology.

Special features regarding research activities

The research projects of the Department of Computer Science are characterized in particular by a strong interdisciplinarity. There is not only close cooperation between individual departments of the faculty, but also with the faculties of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Mathematics and Natural Sciences, and Mechanical Engineering, as well as with business partners and other universities, including international ones.

Cooperation with the start-up forum auftakt. which has its offices on the campus of the university. auftakt. offers advice on funding opportunities for start-ups, support for start-ups by bringing together founders, people interested in starting up, investors, sponsors and Me, numerous spin-offs, support office space for spin-offs close to the campus; technology and start-up centre on the campus; start-up representative of the faculty, support e.g. in applying for funding for start-ups (start-up grants etc.).
