Special features regarding teaching in the bachelor's degree programme

Broadly structured, polyvalent Bachelor's and Masters degree courses; In addition to the usual offers (including compatibility with the new Psychotherapists Act), also offers in the field of cognitive neuroscience, legal psychology and in the field of evaluation research.

Special features regarding teaching in the master's programmes

Broadly structured Master's degree courses; In addition to the usual programmes, there is a wide range of options including cognitive neuroscience, legal psychology and evaluation research. The compulsory elective subject of legal psychology, which can also be taken in the Master's in Psychology, is particularly noteworthy here.

Special features regarding the international orientation

Cooperation with many international universities and institutions, including King's College, University of Melbourne (Australia), Universidad de Extremadura (Badajoz, Spain), Johannes Kepler University (Linz, Austria), Hebrew University Jerusalem (Israel), Brunel University London, Chinese Academy of Sciences Beijing, "sicher unterwegs – Verkehrspsychologische Untersuchungen GmbH (Vienna)" (safe on the road – traffic psychology tests). There is a large Erasmus programme for stays abroad and work placements abroad, but no BIP.

Other special features

The faculty has drawn up its own equality concept for the coming years. The institute's internal diversity and equality working group is a possible point of contact for ideas, problems and organisational matters. The institute is largely barrier-free thanks to renovation work. Among other things, there is a quiet room and a retreat room. To give more students the opportunity to cycle to the institute, a project to expand the bicycle parking spaces at the institute is currently being implemented.
