Research-based but practice-related thanks to strong industry involvement; Versatile structure: lectures, tutorials in small groups, working group competitions, case studies, simulations, presentations, practical lectures; Feedback-oriented and quality-controlled: Consistent evaluation of all courses, faculty-internal quality assurance system.

Special features regarding the international orientation

Large partner network, consisting of over 200 renowned business schools worldwide. This way, more than 500 students can complete a degree programme abroad funded by the Department of Business Administration. As for the Business Administration BSc, the semester abroad is an integral part of the curriculum. Business Administration BSc also offers the IBEA option (international study with stays in the USA, Singapore and Brazil) and a double degree programme. In MMM, double degree programmes with 7 renowned partners (including ESSEC, CBS and Bocconi) are possible.

Special features regarding the equipment

University has been renovated and equipped with state-of-the art technology for a cost of around EUR 53 million; WiFi across the entire campus; library with optimally equipped workstations (around 1800 across the whole university library, of which 200 with PCs, 30,000 electronic journals, 600 data bases); Group work rooms with the opportunity to borrow SMART Boards and use virtual reality environments; subject-area based library has been completely renovated at a cost of about 6 million euros; Business Administration computer cluster with modern hard-and software and extensive services (printing, scanning, binding, data back-up).

Dynamic research environment with positive effect on teaching; Many different types of publication with a focus on top international publications; active promotion of junior researchers (many doctoral candidates, successful placement of professorial candidates)

Large range of courses in the field of entrepreneurship; Start-up support from the Mannheim Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (MCEI); The student initiative Q-Summit has been organising Germany's largest start-up and innovation conference in Mannheim once a year since 2017

Sustainability: The University of Mannheim has a Vice-Rector Office for Sustainability and Information Provision as well as 20 student initiatives with a focus on sustainability. Diversity: Diversity audit; Advises universities in designing structures, instruments and measures to include diverse groups of people in everyday university life. Scholarship for Women in Business; Female prospective students for the MBS programmes (with professional experience) can apply for the scholarship if they have outstanding achievements in their professional life and/or in their social commitment.
