Special features regarding teaching in the bachelor's degree programme

Small group sizes, which means individual support; Professors are "responsive" and do not delegate teaching and individual support; Lecture content is accompanied by laboratories; Advice and counselling course coordinator for the students when selecting courses and generally with any problems during their studies.

Special features regarding the international orientation

Professors are internationally networked and can thus offer extensive support for semesters abroad or switching to a graduate school. All our professors have worked or obtained their doctorate abroad or have/had a non-German citizenship. In particular, our professors have teaching experience in the USA, Japan, Austria or Iran.

Special features regarding the equipment

Labs for beginners courses, for signal processors and FPGA programming. The research laboratories are also being made accessible so that students can also work on special and expensive equipment. Students have access to many online resources for literature and software licences.

Special features regarding research activities

Activities in many German Research Foundation, Zim, EU and industrial projects. Topics include security, localisation, detecting influence through pulse interference, mobile communications, satellite communications, powerline and DSL, DNA analysis, joint source and channel coding, to name just a few.

Other special features

Apart from examinations, there is barely any hierarchical relationship between teaching staff and students; instead they work together on the teaching content and research results; Service self-understanding among professors and lecturers.
