Special features regarding teaching

The degree course teaches interdisciplinary content: 60% technology in the field of Engineering and Natural Sciences, 40% Economics, subject-specific language portion including a fixed semester abroad, foreign language teaching portions and two foreign languages are part of the curriculum. The knowledge of the basics and practical content typical of the field is conveyed in lectures, seminars and internships. Excursions, practice semesters, simulation game as well as presentations and final reports round off the course in a practice-oriented way and in an international context. On-site Master’s programme available.

Special features regarding the international orientation

We develop technologies (spectroscopy, 3D printing) to optimise processes through simulation and measurement technology. Industrial Informatics: Projects on: Development of cyber-physical systems, edge computing, formal verification and sensor technology for the development of energy-efficient systems (from specification to modelling to the introduction of IT systems).

Support for founders

The Central Office for Knowledge and Research Transfer provides general information and information on funding options. Opportunity to participate in the seminar on business start-ups with external lecturers. Special courses on the topic by the internal Centre for Knowledge and Technology Transfer (including Centre for Continuing Education) and the “Meercommunity” (www.meercommunity.de) .
