Special features regarding teaching in the bachelor's degree programme

The comprehensive Industrial Engineering programme at the Technical University of Berlin leads to a high-level education which is unique in its breadth and depth. A key focus of the training concept is to largely build on the study programmes of each student and, at the same time, to meet the same requirements.

Special features regarding the international orientation

Students of industrial engineering are the most active group at the TU Berlin as concerns stays abroad (studying and work placements). Nearly 400 university partnerships, programmes for international work placements and several double Master's programmes, as well as the Alliance4Tech European Campus offer a forward-looking, international education for an increasingly globalised working environment. But the campus in Berlin is also becoming increasingly international, with more than 20 per cent of international students, courses in English as well as on foreign language and specialist language skills.

Special features regarding the equipment

Various PC clusters (including CAD, SAP, Logistics laboratory) and use of extensive technical equipment (labs, trial fields) provided by the participating subjects in the Engineering specialisations, as well as databases such as PERNORM.

Special features regarding research activities

The TU Berlin offers a variety of inter-disciplinary research projects with both engineering and economic backgrounds.

Other special features

The Industrial Engineering course is an inter-disciplinary programme that is not run by an individual faculty or department. It was developed and is overseen by a Joint Commission. It is comprised of modules of all seven TUB faculties, making it one of the most distinguished programmes offered by TUB.
