Special features regarding teaching

The Frankfurt School's Business Informatics is characterised by an interactive approach in small groups. All courses have a maximum of 60 participants. Lecturers are either professors at the Frankfurt School or established industry experts. The Frankfurt School attaches great importance to the teaching skills of its lecturers and involves students in the course evaluation. All lecturers must regularly provide evidence that their research and/or practical experience in the subject area is up to date.

Special features regarding the international orientation

As an integral part of the course, all Bachelor of Science students must complete at least one semester abroad. Students of the Bachelor of Arts and the Pre-Experience Master's degree programmes can choose to study abroad. The Frankfurt School welcomes a growing number of international guest students and guest lecturers every year. Designated study programmes are taught entirely in English.

Special features regarding the equipment

The Frankfurt School boasts a new, modern campus. All teaching rooms have modern IT equipment and modern seminar-room technology. WiFi is available throughout the campus. Students can communicate via the university's online campus and access a variety of databases such as CRSP, Compustat, Amadeus and Datastream (via the WRDS system). A financial lab with Reuters and Bloomberg terminals, an AI lab and laptops with specially adapted software for IT modules in Business Informatics are available.

Special features regarding research activities

The Frankfurt School is characterised by leading international research in the areas of Finance and Management. The Frankfurt School also boasts its own Blockchain Centre (FSBC), which focuses mainly on investigating the impact of blockchain technology. In addition to general research and prototype development, the FSBC serves as a networking hub for managers, start-ups and experts to exchange knowledge and best practices. The FSBC also organises educational programmes for students and executives, including on-campus courses, workshops and conferences.

Support for founders

The FS has set up a dedicated FS Entrepreneurship Centre, which aims to promote entrepreneurship in the student and alumni community. The Entrepreneurship Centre helps start-ups from the student and alumni community by connecting them with leading industry experts, renowned alumni and investors in various areas such as technology, finance and strategy. The FS EC operates two programmes for this purpose: the Incubator and Accelerator.

Other special features

The study contents at the Frankfurt School are state-of-the-art but also have a high relevance to current practice. Through the network of partner universities abroad, the Frankfurt School offers its students a variety of international perspectives. Due to innovative time models, most degree courses can be combined with a profession. Designated degree course study programmes are taught entirely in English and the integrated exchange study opportunities promote internationality at the various locations.
