The faculty offers the English-language Master's degree courses "International Business Economics" and "Media and Communication Science". English-language modules are also offered in the elective areas of the German-language degree courses, especially in the Master's degree courses. The faculty has 4 and is planning 6 double degree programmes with the following partner universities: St. Petersburg State University, Turkish-German University of Istanbul, Université de Nice Côte d'Azur, Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta, University of Central Florida, Tongji University.

Special features regarding research activities

In its research and teaching, the Faculty of Economics and Media is dedicated to the theoretical and empirical examination of economic structures and communication processes in the digital economy and society. The research topics can be assigned to three major research areas: Digital Economy and Society; Innovation, Sustainability and New Technologies; Theory of Science and Methods

Other special features

Research topics on sustainability, environmental economics, energy communication, gender and diversity are integral components of research-driven teaching. Diversity is part of everyday life on campus, not least due to the strong international focus of TU Ilmenau.
