Special features regarding the international orientation

The department has a portfolio of international partner universities that enables students to study abroad in the key economic regions of the world. In addition, the school offers a dual-degree programme with 2 international partner universities. Other international components include: International workshops each semester (key areas: International business, entrepreneurship, logistics), guest lectures and shadowing by visiting professors from abroad, collaborative doctoral programme with two international partner universities.

Support for founders

Course content relevant to start-ups is a regular part of the Business Administration curriculum. In addition, department lecturers are involved in cross-faculty entrepreneurship events at the university (entrepreneurship elective, lecture series on entrepreneurship). A large number of teachers of the department have their own start-up experience, which is integrated regularly into their courses. Again and again, student start-up projects choose teaching staff from the faculty as their mentors. There is also a start-up service at HAW Hamburg.
