Support for founders

Regular open start-up consultation hours to advise university members interested in setting up a business; Organisation of regional networking and pitch events; Two kick-start funding rounds annually (maximum 7,500 euros per project for 6 months) to promote student start-up ideas. The "Innovation Lab Schwarzwald" is an external, free service for start-up support available to students as an elective worth 3 ECTS. One of the university's Start-up Officers is a member of the faculty. Courses: Innovation management, business plans, business simulation games.

Other special features

HFU Business School has been committed to the United Nations' "UN Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME)" since 2019. There are modules on Sustainability & Business Ethics in all degree courses. Studium Generale as a compulsory elective subject with experts on current developments. Open door policy.
