Annotation

Environmental research is the focus of the course of study, which is comprised of the disciplines of Systems Science, Mathematics/Computer Science and an applied subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Economics, Social Sciences, Geography, Geo-Informatics or Psychology). It offers a wide range of methods across disciplines to work through the issues surrounding the dynamics of complex systems and to illustrate solutions. In the course of this, participation in environmentally relevant research and development projects is essential.The Master's degree opens up the opportunity to do a doctorate and, with the appropriate course planning/fulfilment of the relevant requirements, admission to any possible doctorate.In addition, the degree qualifies students for careers in the field of risk analysis (e.g. in insurance companies, firms, authorities), political consulting or in the area of environmental management and for start-ups

Bachelor's or equivalent degree in 'Applied Systems Science' or one of the following subjects: Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geosciences, Environmental Sciences, Economics, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Psychology or a closely related subject. Proof of a command of English at CEFR level B2 and sufficient command of German.
