Annotation
The heterogeneity of the sexes, classes, ethnicities and religions is associated with a strongly selective distribution of education and development opportunities. Today, education, learning and development take place in increasingly complex and heterogeneous social contexts. Structurally suitable as well as individually appropriate support is becoming more and more difficult to guarantee. This means that new challenges are always being created within the professional education sector, in which education processes in entirely different locations are planned, supported and evaluated (from preschool to youth welfare to education administration). This Master's degree course prepares students for these challenges. In addition to a broad range of courses in terms of subject, research fields such as conflict and violence research, family and gender research, extra-curricular educational research, schools development and institution research are addressed. This is ensured by close links with the Institute for Migration Research and Intercultural Studies at the Universität Osnabrück and the affiliated Institute for Early Childhood Education and Development, Lower Saxony, amongst others. The Master's degree opens up the opportunity to do a doctorate and, with the appropriate course planning/fulfilment of the relevant requirements, admission to any possible doctorate.\; accordingly to the doctoral degree in Migration Research and Intercultural Studies at the University of Osnabrück. The degree qualifies students for management, planning and guidance activities that are related to integration and participation, social justice in education and learning and institutional change. For example, in migration work, in political and cultural educational work, in the field of child and youth welfare or adult education.
