The degree course can be studied over either 6 or 7 semesters. Building on the Bachelor's degree course in Sustainable Nutritional Systems, students can consecutively enrol for the Master's degree course in Digital Technologies MEng.

A pre-study work placement of 12 weeks is required, of which at least 6 weeks must be completed before studies commence. The pre-study work placement can be carried out in a professionally relevant organisation, or in agricultural and forestry companies.
