The Bachelor´s degree course includes the following school type-specific key areas: Primary Schools, German Plus-level Lower Secondary Schools, Special Schools, Grammar Schools. The specific key area for teaching at primary schools is determined by choosing a subject from the following group: German, English, French, Mathematics. If “Special Schools” is selected as the school-specific specialisation, one subject must be selected from the following subject group: German, Mathematics, Economics and Work.

Admission requirements

Study places are awarded according to the level of qualification and the average grade of the last 2 school years in English, which is shown on the school leaving certificate. If no grade is shown on the school leaving certificate, proof of a completed Internet, computer or paper-based TOEFL test, which will then be incorporated into the English grade, must be provided with the admission application. In the selection process, the average school leaving certificate grade is weighted with 51%, the grade in English test with 49%.
