Annotation

The Bachelor's degree course in Rescue Management is offered as a part-time course for paramedics. During the nine semester you will develop your management, human resources and social skills. In addition, you will learn to reflect on and evaluate different organisational formats for rescue services. You will also learn how to take human resources and budget responsibilities and optimise administrative processes. In this way, you will be ideally prepared for a career as a manager of an ambulance station, rescue service or department in an aid organisation or rescue service company. In addition, there is a chance to specialise further by selecting an optional required module. This allows you to qualify for work in emergency call centres, in rescue service public relations, in action and demand planning or in incident control for complex, dangerous situations, depending on which specialisation you opt for. In addition, the course will enable you to work analytically with a suitable repertoire of methods and to develop evidence-based approaches to real-world problems. With this degree, you will be able to systematically develop the rescue service as a component of public services in line with demand. The standard period of study of 9 semesters can be reduced to 6 semesters through a recognition test in the first semester and recognition of your professional activity. Against this background, you will be specifically qualified by the bachelor's degree course Rescue Management. A particular advantage is the career-integrated design of the degree course. In this way, a close linking of theory and practice is ensured. You bring in experience from everyday work into your studies and can use the knowledge and skills imparted in the seminars in your field of work from the very first semester. In module M13 »Occupational safety, occupational safety and hygiene«, you have the opportunity to acquire three attractive additional qualifications during your studies, without additional time or money, which are recognised nationwide. Certification as a hygiene officer, as a safety officer and as an internal auditor in the field of occupational health and safety management can increase your chances of a successful career entry in many fields of activity. The internationally recognised Bachelor of Science degree gives you the opportunity to follow a further Master's degree programme and open up further perspectives for your professional future. MSH offers interesting master's degree programmes, such as: • Clinical Research (M.Sc.) • Digital Health Management (M.Sc.)
