Admission requirements

Diplom degree in Free Visual Arts or certificate of the First State Examination or Teaching Qualification for Grammar Schools as a Master's degree in the subject of Visual Arts or an equivalent degree from a university in Germany or abroad. Written approval from the head of the subject class for admission to the Master's degree course. Evidence of German or English proficiency, if the applicantneither obtained their higher education entrance qualification at a German or English-speaking institution nor obtained a degree in a course conducted in German or English. German proficiency must be demonstrated at the level of the “German Language Test for Admission to Higher Education for Foreign Students” (DSH level 2). English proficiency at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference must be demonstrated.
