The concept of a practice-integrated course of study is based on a close association between practical work experience and academic study. Each semester is made up of an 11-week practical phase in a company, followed by a 12-week theoretical study phase at the institution of higher education. Components of a practice-integrated course of study include courses of lectures, supervised independent study, work in small groups and practical experience in a company.

Admission requirements

School leaving certificate or entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences or previous education recognised as equivalent and proof of practical experience at a company alongside a course of studies. For the practice-integrated course a training/internship position or an employment contract is required. Proof must be provided of a cooperation agreement with the company.
