Admission requirements

The prerequisite for admission is a relevant professionally qualifying Bachelor's degree in psychology with at least 180 credit points (CP) according to ECTS, whose underlying degree course is accredited according to the higher education law of the federal states, which was successfully completed at a university or equivalent institution of higher education and for which the office responsible for health in the federal state has determined compliance with the professional requirements according to Art. 9 Para. 4 Sentence 2 of the Psychotherapists Act (PsychThG). An equivalent degree is also accepted if it meets the requirements according to art. 9 paragraph 5 PsychThGand the Approbationsordnung für Psychotherapeutinnen und Psychotherapeuten (PsychThApprO). Students who have already obtained their Bachelor's degree at the IPU Berlin, will be given priority in the allocation of places.

The payment of tuition fees can be made in several ways: Monthly EUR 1,030, per semester EUR 5,950 or completely in advance EUR 22,700. In addition, all full-time students currently are to pay EUR 298.80 per semester, which allows students to use the services of the student union (Studierendenwerk). This also includes the semester ticket, which entitles you to use public transport in Berlin.
