NOTICE: this degree course is being discontinued and will be replaced by the Master's degree course in Theology. No more students are being admitted to the first study semester. Admissions are possible to higher study semesters. You can also complete the Ecclesiastical academic degree after 10 semesters: The performances that must be achieved in the 6-semester main degree course and in the exam are regulated by the regional churches. It is therefore advisable to contact your own regional church early on to find out about the special features of the respectively applicable examination regulations and the conditions for inclusion in the list of Theology students. The Ecclesiastical academic degree qualifies for admission to the ecclesiastical traineeship (vicariate) in accordance with state ecclesiastical law.
