Special features regarding university sports

The university offers its own sports programme. Option of participating in university championships as well as competitions of the general German University Sports Association (ADH) or the State Conference on University Sports in Saxony (LHS). Participation in the general university sports at other universities is subject to their respective rules. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. Special features of the sports program at Chemnitz University of Technology are the university's fitness studio (ZFG). There are also attractive offers through numerous cooperations with external providers / partners such as climbing centre, Chemnitz bouldering lounge, Club Nautique Leipzig (sailing), Golf Club Wasserschloss Klaffenbach, ice rink (curling) , surf camp, Chemnitz shooting range and much more. The health promotion of students has also become more and more the focus of the Chemnitz University of Technology in recent years, partly based on the initiative "Study Moving - Study Moves” 1./ 2.0 in the focus of Chemnitz University of Technology.
