Special features regarding teaching

The course teaches broad foundations in Economics, Engineering and Law, complemented by many different options for individual specialisation. The extensive teaching of methodology is characterised by a high degree of practical relevance. The Bayreuth concept provides a general education in the Bachelor's degree and a high level of specialisation with many different options in the Master's degree. The special features are the strong integration of legal content, small learning groups, optional semester abroad supported by numerous exchange agreements.

Special features regarding the international orientation

Broad network of Erasmus partnerships and global partnerships with universities on all continents. Support from the International Office (INO), complemented by mobility tutors. The International Office supports students in planning and carrying out stays abroad, in particular within the framework of Erasmus+. One special feature is the International Business Plan Competition with universities in Hong Kong, Brazil and the USA.

Special features regarding research activities

Interdisciplinary research with a special focus on the profile fields "Governance & Responsibility" and "Innovation and Consumer Protection"; In addition, the University of Bayreuth is characterised by the Business Administration Research Centre for SME Issues and its Graduate Centre. Collaborations with the Fraunhofer Society.

Sustainability strategy of the University of Bayreuth. Supplementary studies in Sustainability provide students with interdisciplinary key qualifications in the field of sustainability and offer them the opportunity to acquire and deepen their knowledge in this area (certificate).
