Special features regarding research activities

Dentistry at the Charité is engaged in research into the genetics, etiology and treatment of periodontal diseases, non-invasive and micro-invasive treatment and diagnostic methods for caries, endodontics, preventive dentistry, digital diagnostic and restoration methods (CAD/CAM), biomaterial research and dental implantology. Methodologically, in vitro studies are carried out in various joint projects as well as clinical studies in all fields of dentistry, supplemented by projects in educational research.
