Annotation
The inter-disciplinary course programme integrates various basic and applied subjects and therefore enables a high degree of specialisation. The degree course is based on inter-disciplinary and integrative content from the fields of Development, Social, Occupational, Organisational and Business Psychology. This breadth of content is reflected in the individual courses and allows the examination of cultural differences from different perspectives. Initially the central theories and foundations from all three fields are taught in lectures and seminars. In the subsequent specialisation phase, the students can select their own key focus areas. The selection of study project, colloquia and the Master's thesis provides intensive options for specialisation. With the appropriate choice, it is possible to spend up to two thirds of the Master's degree course studying content in the chosen specialisation, in addition to the methodological subjects. The Master's programme also includes cross-specialisation content in methods and diagnosis, a career-oriented work placement and the choice of one of twelve minors currently on offer (e.g. Neurobiology, Marketing or Human-Computer Interaction). The examination regulations do not stipulate a compulsory stay abroad. However, it is recommended that students complete a study phase at a foreign partner university as part of exchange programmes. For this, there is a so-called mobility window in the third semester with adjustment of the curriculum.Students of the Master's course in "Psychology: Focus on Cross Cultural Psychology" can obtain a double degree in Cross Cultural Economic Psychology at the Universität Tilburg. The Master's degree opens up the opportunity to do a doctorate and, with the appropriate course planning/fulfilment of the relevant requirements, admission to any possible doctorate\; in accordance with this for the PhD programme on Psychology and the PhD programme on Cognitive Science at the Universität Osnabrück.\t if students fulfil the requirements, it opens up admission to the postgraduate further education courses "Psychological Psychotherapy" and "Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy" at the Universität Osnabrück, with the aim of obtaining a licence to practice. \t qualifies students for a wide range of psychological but also inter-cultural professions e.g. in the field of occupational and organisational psychology, inter-cultural diagnosis and intervention, as well as advisory organisations.
