Annotation

In the first two academic years, the Bachelor's degree course in Economics provides comprehensive basic education in the main areas of Business Administration, Economics as well as economics-based methods. The decision to study one of the three focal content areas – a General Economics orientation, Business Administration orientation or Economics orientation – is taken at the end of the second year of study. Numerous opportunities for a practice-based seminar or final thesis are offered in the course due to industry contacts and research projects of the lecturers with small and medium-sized companies in the region as well as with nationally and internationally operating major companies. The examination regulations do not stipulate a compulsory stay abroad. Nevertheless, there is the option to spend a study phase at a foreign partner university in the context of exchange programmes, for example. In addition to a professional qualification, the Bachelor's degree opens up, amongst other things, access to the Master's courses in Business Administration and Economics offered at the Universität Osnabrück.
