Degree in German Studies: Literature, Language, Culture and Communication" in a dual-subject Bachelor's programme at the University of Duisburg-Essen or an equivalent / comparable course in English Studies, American Studies or Linguistics (depending on the chosen specialisation in the Master's degree in German Studies: Literature and Culture). Generally recognised as equivalent: - A relevant course of at least three years with a first professionally qualifying academic degree and a overall workload of at least 180 credits) in the field of German Studies or Linguistics at another higher education institution within the scope of the Higher Education Framework Act (HRG) or - A relevant degree at a different higher education institution outside the scope of the Higher Education Framework Act (HRG) where no significant difference in quality from a degree at a higher education institution within the scope of the Higher Education Framework Act (HRG) can be proven. The overall grade of the academic degree must generally be at least 2.5 or better.
