The degree course Occupational Therapy at the SRH University of Applied Sciences Heidelberg is one of the few accredited degree courses in Germany. The advantage of the occupational therapy degree course at the SRH University of Applied Sciences Heidelberg lies in the combination of a scientifically-oriented degree course with practical training on patients. Students are taught fundamentals of medical and psychological and the occupational therapy content in a scientifically sound manner. Early contact with patients through internships provides students with practical skills and gives them an insight into their future professional life right at the beginning of their degree. With the Occupational Therapy degree course (B.Sc.), the path to research is possible in addition to patient care. We support you personally and continuously in achieving your goals. - If you do not have a higher education entrance qualification, you can be admitted to a degree course corresponding to your vocational training and experience in accordance with art. 58 Para. 2 No. 6 LHG if you have completed at least two years of vocational training, have at least three years of professional experience and pass an aptitude test. According to art. 58 I LHG Baden-Württemberg, no aptitude test has to be taken by those who have completed a professional further education (e.g. Specialist in the Health and Social Sector (IHK)) in a professionally relevant field and who take advantage of a counselling interview. - Pre-study work placement in the field of occupational therapy of at least three weeks or 100 hours (required before beginning studies) International applicants must provide proof of a qualification for admission to German higher education through certificates of previous education and adequate command of German (DSH or TestDaF examination).
