Admission requirements

Bachelor's degree in Jazz and Popular Music or a very similar degree from a university in Germany or abroad. In exceptional cases, evidence of a Bachelor's degree in Music can be recognised as an admission requirement. The aptitude test is used to determine whether the applicant has the subject-specific skills required for a successful course of study, in particular artistic aptitude and sufficient motivation for the course. A sufficient proficiency in English is required. Applicants who obtained neither their higher education entrance qualification at a German-speaking institution nor a degree in a course conducted in German are required to provide evidence of sufficient proficiency in German. This evidence is provided in the aptitude test.
