Annotation

With regard to demographic change, health care in Germany is characterised by two central trends. On the one hand, it is increasingly the desire of people who are affected by age, illness or disability to remain in the domestic environment and to be provided with comprehensive care there. On the other hand, a redistribution of financial and personal resources leads to a shift in health care from inpatient to outpatient settings. This challenge must be tackled by the design of social spaces, from the home environment and the district to the community. The course Health and Social Space is career-integrated, includes a high proportion of online courses and comprises a total of eight semesters including the Bachelor's thesis.
