The Mathematics teacher training includes the fundamental questions in linear algebra, analysis, numerics, stochastics, geometry and algebra and the learning of the central techniques for their solutions. Building on the fundamental questions in linear algebra, analysis, numerics, stochastics, geometry and algebra from B. Ed. Mathematics, students in the Master of Education expand their material and methodological skills in the areas of didactics, analysis and a further mathematical area from the majors algebra and geometry, analysis and differential geometry, mathematical physics, numerical mathematics or stochastics. As part of the “Tübingen School of Education”, the professorship for mathematics and its didactics at the department covers teaching and research in the field of didactics of mathematics and combines science with school-related application. In addition, there are close cooperations with the state seminars for didactics and teacher training as well as with the schools in the area.
