The MSc Laboratory Animal Science is a FELASA accredited, two-year, career-accompanying study course.

In the first three semesters, online seminars will be held outside of regular office hours twice a week. These online seminars are supported by an e-media skills lab and further complemented by literature reviews and homework.
At the end of each of these semesters, there is a compulsory 10-day attendance block in Aachen, Germany, during which skill training is performed in the Aachen University Hospital's facilities, group discussions are held, and case studies are conducted.
The fourth semester is dedicated to the completion of a scientific Master's thesis (30 ECTS). The thesis can be literature-based or based upon experimental data generated.

In addition to the Master of Science degree from RWTH Aachen University, graduates will receive the FELASA certificate for specialists in laboratory animal science (LAS) (including EU functions A, B, & D)

The semester fee of RWTH Aachen University is approx. 320 EUR per semester (includes the semester ticket for public transport within the whole state of North Rhine-Westphalia, part of Belgium and part of the Netherlands) and is unrelated to RWTH International Academy’s fees.
