DAAD Research Ambassadors are senior academicians and scientists who have a long standing relationship with Germany and are interested in promoting Germany as a destination for higher learning and scientific cooperation by sharing their experience, mentoring students and colleagues. As established members of the academic/scientific community they help inspire their colleagues and students to consider Germany as a partner in their work or as a destination for study or research by answering their questions and by organising events on and off campus.

DAAD has an extensive network of Research Ambassadors spread over India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and Sri Lanka. Research Ambassadors are appointed by the DAAD Regional Office New Delhi for a duration of three years and work on an honorary basis.

You are eligible to apply if you

are an academician/scientist or work for R&D in the industry, and have a PhD
are a citizen of India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal or Sri Lanka
have studied/done research in Germany or have cooperation with German academic/research institutions
can attend an orientation workshop in New Delhi in second half of September 2022
